Noul material de studio apare la patru ani distanta de pimul LP al producatorului din San Francisco, e vorba de “Open Wide”.
“Heirlooms” pare sa fie construit dupa aceleasi reguli ca si precedentul material, fiind insa ceva mai conventional. Pentru piesele din noul album Dave a colaborat cu The Invisible Art Trio (pentru “To be Free”) si The Sol Percussion Ensemble (pentru “Brown & Blue”), cu Jaw de la dOP, dar si cu Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts (“Ms. Reposado”).
