Anja Schneider’s ‘Club Room’ radio show goes international

A figurehead within German radio with a career stretching back over 20 years, Anja Schneider has been responsible for introducing a generation of Berliners to electronic music. Now for the first time her radio show will be beamed internationally in 2018, with weekly broadcasts across USA and Europe.

One of house and techno’s most astute tastemakers, Schneider’s ear for uncovering the next crop of outstanding talent has been one of the hallmarks of her influence. She’s well known for giving an early platform to the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Solomun and Nicole Moudaber (on Mobilee and Leena Music labels), long before they became the household names they are today.

Her career in radio stretches back to the mid-90s as a producer for Kiss FM in Berlin, before she begun hosting her own show ‘Dance Under the Blue Moon’ on Fritz Radio in 2000 that ran for over 16 years and stamped her as a crucial mouthpiece of Berlin’s pre-eminent electronic music scene. Last year she made a significant move by shifting to leading public broadcaster Radio Eins to present new show ‘Club Room’ that airs weekly between 23h-1 each Friday.

Taking ‘Club Room’ to the international airwaves, she will present the finest underground house and techno releases each week, always up to date and very fresh, from Berlin. Each show will feature a 60-minute mix of new and exclusive music from Anja’s most loved artists and labels, as well as exclusives from her own studio and the release schedule of her new Sous Music label.

After broadcast, each show will be available on-demand exclusively via Mixcloud.
