The House of Bamboo Project was born out of the passion and love for house music of five DJs, a Saxophonist & a percussionist all from the UK late 2012.
As a collective, they DJ, present their own radio show and produce music together, as well as throwing their own regular nights and parties across Berkshire and London. Although their love of house music is universal and is what brought these DJs together, each DJ brings to the decks a slightly different flavour from uplifting and soulful, to deep and disco-tinged funky. This unique twist results in night of variation to suit all tastes and a good time for DJs and party guests alike.
2014 looks to be an incredible year for The House of Bamboo Project. Not only with the continuation of the ever growing parties, but the rise of the newly formed ‘Door 54’ record label started by the DJs and will be used to release their own material under.
The first House of Bamboo Project E.P. ‘Fathomless’, was released in February 2014 and features a track produced by each of the DJs of the project. Future releases, mix albums and collaborations are already on the drawing board for the rest of the year and beyond. With the knowledge and experience of 5 DJs all coming together, quality will never be compromised; 10 pairs of ears and 5 minds are always used, ultimately combining into a finely tuned House music machine! The DJs behind the ‘Project’ are excited for 2014, for the times that it will bring and cannot wait to take the scene by storm. With House music as strong as it ever was in the eyes of the party-goer, there is no other option than upwards for the collective.
