KhoMha & David Gravell join forces for “Alpha Centauri”

KhoMha and David Gravell have been travelling and sharing stages together for a long time now, so it was about time that the Trance titans whipped up some collaborative magic. Today, they unleashed a brand-new tune called ‘Alpha Centauri’, and it’s as fiery as you can expect from a collaboration between these stars.

Offering up straight fire tailored to the most massive stages in the world, ‘Alpha Centauri’ was picked by Armin van Buuren for inclusion on his ‘A State Of Trance, Ibiza 2019’ mix album for a reason. Expertly crafted up by Colombian Trance star KhoMha and his Dutch counterpart David Gravell, this stellar offering is bound to bring out the Trance fans at night.

KhoMha:When you’re in the studio and you have this natural flow with the person you’re working with, that means something good is going to happen. That’s how I felt working with David right away. We share a lot of common ideas and the workflow was very good as well. When we eventually finished the track, we wanted to choose a name that represents what we felt at that moment. This track makes you look at the stars and think about what’s beyond our own knowledge and imagination, something that we as humans haven’t discovered yet. ‘Alpha Centauri’ is the closest star system we have from us and this track is the representation of the magnificence of the universe.”

David Gravell: “KhoMha and myself have become friends over the years and we were always discussing a collaboration – thought it never really happened when we tried doing that online. When we finally had the chance to dive into the studio together in real life, we felt a great creative click which eventually led to this track. It’s been an amazing experience working on the track together and playing it live – also together – for the first time at Hï Ibiza. I’m really happy with the result and I think it’s a really nice combination of our characteristic styles.”

A valued part of Armada Music’s artist roster, KhoMha hasn’t been sitting still. In the past few years, the Colombian Trance star has been turning quite a few heads as a producer, all through a smorgasbord of powerful originals, new takes of Trance classics such as Veracocha’s ‘Carte Blanche’ and Vincent de Moor’s ‘Fly Away’ and big remixes for top artists such as Armin van Buuren and Morgan Page. On the live front, KhoMha also wrecked the Road To 1000 stage at A State Of Trance 900 Utrecht earlier this year, in addition to playing at a host of other big events.

Since embarking on the scene, David Gravell has become the go-to remixer for the likes of Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin and ilan Bluestone, was honored with IDMA nominations for ‘Best Trance DJ’ and ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ in the same year and rocked the scene with stadium-quivering originals such as ‘The Future’ and ‘Never Sleep’ (with Blastoyz). As a DJ and performer, David Gravell continues to ravage the world’s biggest festivals, including world-renowned events such as Ultra Europe, Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, A State Of Trance Festival and Creamfields.
